Bingo lovers certainly look out for one another and it was no exception when the lovely players of Mecca Bingo in Ellesmere Port helped raise some much needed money for cancer.
The Marie Curie Cancer Care gained £941 from the hard efforts of caring bingo players. The money will go towards providing end of life care to terminally ill patients in their own homes of in one of the nine Marie Curie hospices.
This is a great achievement from the players of Mecca Bingo and they deserve a huge pat on the back. Thanks to Mecca Bingo and these generous players more people will now have the choice to spend their final days how they want to and with the best care available.
Gary Shanks, the general manager of Mecca Ellesmere Port told news reporters that he is “impressed with the drive and enthusiasm the team members have shown” and that because of everyone’s hard work “more people will be able to spend their final moments in the place they most want to be.”
Even more impressive, over the past two years Mecca Bingo staff and players have helped raise over £420,000 for the charity.
Well done Mecca Bingo, what amazing thing to do for the community! Keep up the great work.
