There have been reports of a robbery at a Mecca Bingo club. This is a pretty big concern to the club concerned and to anyone who plays bingo really. The last thing you expect in a bingo hall is some kind of crime. People like to feel safe and secure in public places, and that includes bingo halls!
The claim has not actually been confirmed by the club itself yet; Mecca Bingo in Watford. They haven’t confirmed it or denied it, so time will tell if it is true. The fact that they haven’t denied it of course suggests it is true.
The robbery at Mecca Bingo in Watford is said to have taken place on the 31st of January between the hours of 10.15pm and 10.45pm. Police have confirmed that they attended the club, so again this suggests that the story is real. They wouldn’t comment any further other than to confirm that an incident did take place.
Rumour has it that the robbery at Mecca Bingo in Watford involved men in balaclavas, and apparently Mecca staff were threatened. This would have been awful for them, and for anyone who witnessed it too. You don’t want to be playing a nice game of bingo on a Monday evening to have the place disrupted by some kind of robbery!
Rest assured that this type of thing doesn’t happen often at Mecca Bingo or indeed at any bingo club. Incidents like this are very rare, so you can continue to play bingo safely.
